This heavy-duty 26-Inch dust collector filter hood is custom-made to fit the discontinued DC-330L small-frame dust collector model. All ShopSmith Filter Hoods are designed to our specifications with high-quality materials that help clean the air that's returned to the environment once the dust is removed. As it does this, a cake of dust forms on the inside of the Hood. As the cake gets thicker, the Hood traps smaller and smaller particles, increasing its dust-capturing efficiency.

Made of a special polyester felt, our Filter Hoods are fully washable, although this is seldom necessary. When you feel that the airflow has been reduced below a level that you're comfortable with, simply turn on your dust collector and tap the sides of the hood firmly several times to dislodge the cake from the inside of the Filter Hood.

The DC-330L filter hood (503600) is solely for use with the discontinued DC-330L Dust Collection System.

Flip-Up Rip Fence Stop ensures repeatability for a variety of operations. The perfect accessory for creating multiple stopped dadoes, grooves, molding bandsaw cuts & repetitive drilling and routing operations.

The Shopsmith Lathe Tailstock Arbor lets you easily and accurately drill centered holes in the ends of work pieces to prepare for Lathe Turning.

Shopsmith Pattern Sanding Guide Package
This simple 3-piece package (and a set of our Shopsmith drum sanders) is all you need to save loads of time by drum sanding multiple projects or components to the exactly the same size and shape. Just insert the appropriate sized guide into your Mark V or Mark 7 worktable miter gauge slot. Align the guide with the matching Shopsmith drum sander (2-1/4", 1-1/2", 1", 3/4", or 1/2") then tighten the clamping knob and your ready to go.

By attaching a shop-made pattern to the bottom of your workpiece (the included instructions tell you how to make and use these patterns) and then rotating your pattern/workpiece against the guide, you'll be able to sand as many projects or components to the same exact size and shape as you like. And do it much, much faster than if you were doing them one-by-one. A real time-saver!

Mortising Chisel Honing Stone (521902)
Hollow chisel mortising requires a great deal of downward pressure to shave the sides of the mortise smooth and true. That's why it is extremely important that all four edges of the hollow chisel be kept as sharp as possible. This precision-ground stone has been made specifically for this purpose. The Mortising Chisel Honing Stone is a 50-degree stone for your 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" chisel.

Here are two great, inexpensive accessories that will help you guide your workpieces through rip cuts, dadoes, grooves and molding cuts with greater precision, confidence and safety. Made of a rugged, see-through polycarbonate material, each features a protruding hook on the trailing edge that will securely grasp and control stock of any thickness down to 3/8" without snagging or slipping. 

• Use the short guide to make rip cuts on stock up to 13-1/4" long and as narrow as 9/32" with 1/32" of clearance between the edge of the guide and your saw blade. 
• For even more control when making cuts on stock over 13-1/4" long, use the twin-handled long guide.

Carefully engineered with angled handles that are covered in soft, non-slip vinyl, they are ergonomically comfortable to use and can provide one or two-handed downward force on your workpieces well forward of their hook edges. As a result, each will not only keep your fingers out of harm's way when making your cuts, they will also prevent dangerous lift-ups that can snag your blade or cutter and cause a kickback that could result in personal injury.

The Table Support Leg provides added table rigidity when hollow chisel mortising or performing other heavy workpiece operations with your MARK in the vertical position. This is a MUST for all mortising operations. Without this Table Support Leg, your Mortising Chisels will seem dull and be very difficult to use

This special telescoping support leg extends 27” to 42-1/2" and features a notch in the top that slips around the table lip. Then it locks on to the table with a single knob. Adjust the leg for table height with a quarter-turn of the leg. It keeps your worktable from deflecting when you are exerting more downward pressure during mortising or drilling operations. Originally designed for the MARK V 500 / MARK V 505 / MARK 4. Drum Sanding is used for sanding the inside or outside of curved edges on project workpieces. These drums are as small as �� Diameter up to 2-5/16� diameter and work for many project applications. Shopsmith drums and sleeves range from 6� long down to 2� long to work easily on thick-to-thin stock. The abrasives are Aluminum Oxide (A/O) for strength and durability and Garnet for sharp, fast-cutting edge sanding. All of the Shopsmith 2-5/16� Sanding drums mount directly onto the Quill Spindle with a quick turn of the 5/32� Allen wrench. The rest of these drums are installed in the Drill Chuck and secured with the Chuck Key. There is even a Multi-Sand Drum that uses 3 different grits on the same drum, so changing from coarse to medium to fine is as easy as extending the quill. Below you will find these drums are available as singles or grouped together in convenient packages. No longer will you have unsightly, rough curved edges on your workpieces.

MARK V 505,510 and 520 Owner's Manual (For 557501, 557500)

Achieving the highest quality, smoothest wood finish must start with a perfectly smooth surface. Achieving that smoothness (especially on a Curved Edge) usually means incrementally sanding raw workpiece edges with coarse, medium and fine grit abrasives. Skip a step and you will end up with poor results.

Without Shopsmith�s Multi-Sand Process, You Would Likely Follow a Normal 3-Step Changeover Process:
1. Install a coarse sleeve to remove the majority of the sawing marks.
2. Repeat the process by removing the coarse sleeve from your drum and replacing it with a medium sleeve.
3. Repeat the process again by replacing the medium sleeve with a fine sleeve and complete your final step.

Our bright orange Bandsaw Urethane tires have been manufactured to our exact specifications for use with the Shopsmith Bandsaw. Made from a special urethane compound, they will improve blade tracking (especially with smaller blades), repel sawdust build-up and provide added durability over our standard rubber tires.

To install, submerge in hot (125° - not boiling) water for about 15 minutes to soften them and stretch them onto your bandsaw wheels. No glue required.

The "welds" on these tires are guaranteed for life. If they should fail, simply return them to the manufacturer for a replacement. Includes: Two Tires

Hollow Chisel Mortising Beats Two-Step Mortising Hands-Down for Speed, Precision and Finished Appearance. There are four primary methods for cutting mortises. From complex-to-simple, these are: 1: Cut them completely with a chisel. Years ago, hollow chisel mortising faded in popularity and ended-up being replaced by router-based slot mortising. Well, it didn't take long for woodworkers to figure out that hollow-chisel mortising was a lot faster and easier. As a result, people returned to the system that was the best for many years.

Here's how this tool works. Install your Mortising Attachment over the outside of your quill and tighten the screw. Next install your drill chuck on your MARK?7 or Mark V spindle. Insert the Mortising Chisel of your choice with matching Mortising Bit into the opposite end of the attachment and tighten a setscrew and then tighten the bit in your drill chuck. Position your workpiece against your rip fence, install the hold-down and go to work!

The attachment holds the chisel to keep it from rotating while your drill chuck holds and spins the mortising bit that rides inside the chisel. As you lower the set into your wood, the bit removes most of the waste while the chisel's sharp edges square-shave the sides of the mortise flat and smooth. The special hold-down attaches to the top of your rip fence to keep your workpiece from lifting off the table surface when you retract the chisel.

One of the most common headaches in woodworking is making accurate miter cuts. Whether you're creating unique segmented wood pieces, constructing a picture frame, or doing high-end finish work, a well-cut joint is easy to appreciate. You may be thinking two things are necessary for a no-gap miter joint:

1) A correctly calculated and set miter angle;

2) Pieces cut to the right length.

Getting the right length is achieved with accessories like the 24" Aluminum Miter Gauge Extension, the 20" Aluminum Miter Gauge Extension, or the Shopsmith miter stop rod. But, until now, getting the correct angle has been more difficult and time consuming.

The Solution: The MiterSet!

The MiterSet Standard stands out with accurate and fast set-up at ½ degree increments, eliminating concerns about how accurately you’ve set-up your Miter Gauge indicator plate. With the MiterSet Standard, just place one pin in the zero hole and the other in the hole for the desired angle. The holes are clearly labeled with large, easy-to-read numbers giving the angle at every 5 degrees. For angles that are not a multiple of 5 degrees, you'll use the included detent bar to add or subtract up to 2 ½ degrees, in ½ degree increments. Then, loosen your miter gauge lock. Place your miter gauge bar in the MiterSet slot (which was made specially for an accurate fit of your Shopsmith miter gauge bar). Slide your miter gauge against the pins, and then relock your miter gauge. That quickly, your miter gauge will be flawlessly set to the angle you need for your project.

Normally, when cutting segments, you'd have to calculate the angles. Or, maybe you would need to find your look-up chart to determine the angle you need based on the number of sides in your project. The MiterSet Segment jig eliminates the need for these tedious steps, making it effortless.

Shopsmith Strip Sander Belts are available in two width and three different abrasives. These �� and 1� wide belts will meet your expectations for many different projects. Three different abrasives give you just the right cutting material for the job at hand - Ceramic for extended life and working the toughest materials - Aluminum Oxide (A/O) for general purpose sanding and sharpening - Silicon Carbide for the final polished surface on a bevel when sharpening.

They come in many different grits from very coarse to very fine. The coarsest grits will remove stock in a HURRY! Medium grits for general purpose sanding and sharpening and the finest grits will leave the best and smoothest surface obtainable.
